If you love YA like I do, you know the title of today's blog post comes from the second book in Gayle Foreman's excellent Adam and Mia chronicles. But right now the title is actually about me. I haven't been here for a while (no surprise there, as I can only manage to update about once or twice a month), because I've been writing nearly nonstop at a bunch of different places, including The DC Moms, a collaborative blog where I serve as Editor in Chief.
The DC Moms is a labor of love with 30 other area women I'm lucky to count as friends. Seriously. They are not just "fellow bloggers" or "women I know" or that dreaded moniker "mommy bloggers." They are friends, writers, and mothers I respect and admire.
While we sometimes write about DCist experiences, like surviving yesterday's earthquake (the kids and I lamely missed the ground shaking by being in Rosie the van on our way to meet our good friends at their pool club), we also wax poetic about Celeb Crushes and discuss parenting, fashion, health, recipes, you name it.
I've only written a few posts so far, about loving Michael Fassbender (although I'm right there with the other crushes too), eating fancy pizza in Leesburg, and missing Harry Potter. Check us out!
Great, another addition. Do you not want me to work? ever?
